Immigration Defense Attorney Carlos Batara Elevates Fight Against Immigration Fraud With Publication of New E-Book
Riverside-based immigration defense attorney Carlos Batara, calling for a crusade against immigration fraud, announces his new e-book written to help immigrants spot the early warning signs of immigration fraud before they are victimized
RIVERSIDE, Calif., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Even though immigration reform is a hotly debated topic, Riverside immigration lawyer Carlos Batara thinks most of the public does not comprehend various abuses suffered by immigrants.
For instance, explains Batara, many immigrant families believe they're taking all the proper steps necessary to live and work legally in the U.S. -- when in truth they're being defrauded by con artists who prey on immigrants.
When it comes to immigration fraud, Batara asserts, helping immigrants in court is not enough. "Professionals working in the field of immigration," Batara emphasizes, "need to join together in a crusade against those who take unfair advantage of vulnerable immigrants."
"It's time all of us do more to fight those who are victimizing hard-working immigrants trying to do everything right," stated Batara. "Immigration fraud is a silent epidemic, devastating countless immigrant families."
In Batara's view, increased public awareness is the number one key to stopping immigration fraud. Towards that end, Batara has written a new e-book, How to Recognize and Avoid Immigration Fraud (Before You Become a Victim).
The book draws on his 17 years' experience as an immigration attorney in San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties. Written in an easy-to-understand style, How to Recognize and Avoid Immigration Fraud is filled with real-life examples of immigration fraud which Batara has seen in his practice, and points out situations immigrants should watch out for.
"At one end of the spectrum, immigration fraud can occur when criminals actively target immigrants, botch their paperwork and then disappear. On the other end, it can take place when acquaintances offer help without understanding the ins and outs of the immigration system," said Batara. "Once the damage is done, the family's future in the U.S. is usually destroyed."
