Dr. Jacobs is a graduate of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and the University of Michigan, College of Engineering and completed a three year residency program in prosthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A clinical professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago School of Dentistry, Dr. Jacobs has lectured at numerous university, state and international meetings on topics ranging from immediate dental implants to nerve regeneration and has published numerous professional abstracts and articles. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Jacobs also volunteers at the Care Free Dental Clinic, where underserved populations receive emergent dental care.

Dr. Jacobs' implant research earned him a place as a 2013 John J. Sharry Research Competition Finalist. While at Harvard, he served as president of his dental class and earned the prestigious American College of Dentists Outstanding Student Leader Award, as well as the Dr. Norman B. Nesbett Award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry. At graduation, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
