IMPRES Hires A New Vice President Of Defense/Intelligence

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif., Nov. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- IMPRES Technology Solutions, Inc. (IMPRES); an 8(a) minority-owned, Systems Integrator, based in Southern California; today announced John Podolak, a 25-year industry veteran,  will join the company as vice president of IMPRES' Defense and Intelligence business. John's primary responsibility will be to leverage existing relationships with federal customers and OEM partners to expand IMPRES' presence within the Federal space.

John brings to IMPRES a track record of success in developing and pursuing a variety of large opportunities within the vast Federal space. His deep subject matter expertise and breadth of business development and sales experience make him a valued asset in guiding the IMPRES' sales team.

John joins IMPRES from Dell, Inc. where for the past eight years he has served as director of business for Federal strategic programs.   While at Dell, John led pursuit strategy and was responsible for some of Dell's largest federal contract wins generating in excess of $4B in revenue.  Prior to Dell, John served as executive program manager for L-3 Communications/AVISYS where he led a team of select defense suppliers in delivering AVISYS' proposed CAPS (Commercial Airliner Protection System) technology to the global airline industry.

Prior to L-3/AVISYS, Podolak's served overseas as an Intelligence Operations Officer at USCENTCOM during the Iraq war, as a naval aviator flying the S-3B Viking, and as a pilot for Delta Airlines.  John holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from the US Naval Academy and a master's from the US Navy Postgraduate School as well as a Government Top Secret Clearance. He recently retired from the US Navy Reserves with the rank of Commander. John and his family reside in Austin, Texas where in his spare time, he volunteers as an Angel Flight pilot to provide free transportation for people in need of critical medical treatment not available to them locally.
