Inception Fertility™ Appoints Vanessa Smith as President and Chief Operating Officer

HOUSTON, April 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Inception Fertility™, North America's largest provider of fertility services, announces today the appointment of Vanessa Smith to President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In this role, Smith will lead strategic initiatives across Inception's growing family brands, including The Prelude Network®, the fastest-growing network of fertility clinics and largest provider of comprehensive fertility services in North America

Smith brings more than 30 years of experience in driving operational excellence and enhancing patient experience across healthcare organizations. This leadership transition underscores Inception's continued focus on operational leadership, strategic growth, and delivering best-in-class fertility care to patients nationwide.

Prior to joining Inception, Smith served as Chief Operating Officer at Emerus, where she led hospital operations across a multi-state network, overseeing service line development and core operational infrastructure. Before Emerus, she spent 12 years at United Surgical Partners International where she held several roles including Market President and Regional Vice President overseeing ambulatory surgical centers and hospitals across several states. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles in physician practice management and on the payor side.

Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University. She lives in Houston with her husband and their two daughters.
