BIRMINGHAM, Ala., April 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- incubate!(bang) is kick-starting innovation and unleashing entrepreneurial spirits in Alabama with a competition designed to reward ground-breaking ideas and support start-up companies in getting to market.

The incubate!(bang) competition rewards the best concepts and business plans with $50,000 worth of development resources, $30,000 in seed money for salaries and operational costs, and assistance in securing investors. Additionally, the winner will receive marketing, legal and infrastructure assistance.

"It is truly amazing how many fascinating and innovative ideas are out there just waiting to be the next big thing," said Josh Adams, principal of incubate!(bang). "We're really excited to help develop Alabama's startup and tech communities. I know there are some great entrepreneurs in the state who just need a little boost to get a great business off the ground."
