HOUSTON, April 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Independence Contract Drilling, Inc. (NYSE: ICD) launched an underwritten public offering of 8,000,000 shares of common stock. The underwriters of the offering will have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,200,000 shares from Independence Contract Drilling.

Independence Contract Drilling, Inc. intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to repay a portion of outstanding borrowings under our revolving credit facility and for general corporate purposes.
