Independent Analyst Firm Cites Teradata as Market Leader in Analytic Database Platforms

DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Teradata Corp. (NYSE: TDC), the leading analytic data platforms, applications and services company, today announced that Ovum Ltd., a leading global technology analyst firm, has placed the Teradata Aster Discovery Platform in the Market Leaders category in the "Technology" and "Execution" categories among top vendors of analytic database platforms. Ovum categorizes and evaluates analytic databases across three main categories: advanced SQL databases (designed around MPP and columnar-based structures), in-memory databases, and NoSQL databases.
