Since 2009, IU has partnered with Campus Management to deliver its constituent relationship management (CRM) software for managing data and communications institution wide. Now, the organizations are collaborating to integrate Campus Management's Talisma Fundraising software, a donor and alumni management system, with its Talisma CRM software. IU's agreement with Campus Management for its Talisma® CRM and Fundraising products made it the nation's first major, multi-campus university to elevate constituent communications to a university-wide platform inclusive of all schools, its alumni association, and the university foundation.
"The IU Foundation and Alumni Association are pleased to begin work on this second phase for systems to support IU's development and advancement professionals," said Gene Tempel, president of the IU Foundation. "The Lifetime Communication project that we launched in 2009 will span from first contact to the many ways the friends and alumni of IU support the university."
JT Forbes, executive director of Indiana University Alumni Association said, "We have an exciting vision for involving our constituents in the life of the university and Talisma CRM will help us better serve our constituents through the entire lifecycle of their relationship with us."
"IU and our essential partners at the IU Foundation and Alumni Association believe that the future requires a new, comprehensive view of our relationships with many IU constituencies," said IU vice president for information technology and CIO Brad Wheeler. "We are taking an expanded, strategic approach in implementing an Enterprise Advancement System (EAS) in support of communication, giving, alumni, and engagement for the university, the IU Foundation, and the Alumni Association.
With Campus Management's Talisma CRM and enhanced development and advancement functionality, the IU community will be able to combine all information into a single unified source thereby reducing data silos, improving workflow management and increasing fundraising revenue while reducing costs. The extended deployment of Talisma CRM will also deliver enhanced reporting and business intelligence tools that will enable real-time analysis of data, track participation rates, marketing response, and enable ROI improvements. The extended deployment will also improve data integrity and sharing across the IU community, provide a complete view of constituents throughout their lifetime involvement with IU so all their needs can be better served.
In addition to helping IU sustain and enhance lifelong relationships as individuals' relationships with the university evolve, the new EAS produced by Campus Management enables the university to coordinate and deliver focused, personalized information to alumni and friends using the media platforms and information channels they prefer. The system also incorporates management of pledges, gifts, volunteers, and other critical resources with research capabilities to better understand and proactively serve more than 580,000 of IU's alumni, donors and other supporters.
"We're very proud to have world class institutions such as Indiana University, its Foundation, and its Alumni Association, compare our products to those in the overall market and select our solutions for such a strategic initiative," said Timothy B. Loomer, president and chief executive officer of Campus Management. "This expansion underscores the increased role CRM is playing at today's colleges and universities. Expanding the reach of our CRM and fundraising software systems in partnership with IU leverages what Campus Management does best as an innovator, while also benefiting the constituents of a global, world-class institution."
Timothy S. Gilbert, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of Campus Management Corp. said, "We take great pride in creating and delivering solutions that help our customers achieve their strategic objectives. Extending our CRM solution across the IU community helps by uniting departments and campuses, and providing greater efficiencies and insight into the lifetime relationships between the University community and all of its constituents. We are proud of have been selected once again by IU for this critical extension."
"We are extremely honored to have been selected for this project," said Dan Germain, director of Talisma North America, "and the vision for unifying data across the entire community is representative of the leadership that the IU community continues to deliver in the industry."
