India's Best PE/VC-Backed Indian Companies, Investment Banks, Law Firms Honoured at VCCircle Annual Awards 2014

The third edition of VCCircle Annual Awards was held at Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai

iGate Corporation, Myntra Designs, Repco Home Finance, Manipal Global Education and Kids Clinic were among the winners of VCCircle Awards 2014 declared on Wednesday in Mumbai. Credit Suisse and Avendus win awards for investment bankers of the year while Khaitan & Co triumphs among law firms.

The third edition of VCCircle Awards, India's only platform that recognises the best performing private equity or venture capital-backed companies and transaction advisors, was held in the evening of February 19 at Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai.

Guest of honour for the evening was Leo Puri, Managing Director, UTI Asset Management, and the function was attended by top entrepreneurs, CEOs, fund managers and other industry stalwarts. 

The awards were bestowed to the most outstanding PE/VC-backed Indian companies that not only recorded tremendous growth in their respective industries, but also had a long-standing impact on the economy and the industry in general. And the best intermediaries in private equity transactions space - investment banks and the law firms - were honoured too.

A five-member jury, comprising industry veterans and long-time watchers of businesses, judged the winners after evaluation on a variety of qualitative and quantitative parameters - such as financial performance, growth, brand salience, the quality of management and business, return on capital employed, etc.

The jury was chaired by VK Bansal of Morgan Stanley India and the other four members were Raamdeo Agrawal (Motilal Oswal Financial Services), Rajiv Luthra (Luthra&Luthra Law Offices), Sri Rajan (Bain & Co India) and Sanjiv Bikhchandani (Info edge India Ltd).
