IndieReader Announces the Winners of 2012 "IR Discovery Awards"
MONTCLAIR, N.J., June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- IndieReader (www.indiereader.com), the essential consumer guide to self-published books and the people who write them, have announced the winners of their first annual "IndieReader Discovery Awards" (IRDAs).
Notes IR founder Amy Edelman, "With the rush by traditional publishers to sign them and their noteworthy bestselling status, there's no longer much doubt that indie authors can be both commercially and creatively successful. All that was left to do was create a credible vehicle by which to find them. That's where the IRDAs come in."
The IRDAs were created to give indie authors access to people who can make a difference in their book's success. While writing a great book is the first step, getting it in front of the right people—be they readers or agents or traditional publishers—is also a critical part of making an indie book a success."
What makes the IRDA's so unique is their extraordinary panel of judges, including top agents, traditional publishers, PR people, bloggers, and book reviewers–virtually a who's who of some of the most important people in publishing today.
