INDUSTRONIC Announces DNV Offshore Certification for INTRON-D plus

BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Nov. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- INDUSTRONIC Inc., the leaders in innovative and secure communications, announced that the INTRON-D plus PAGA and Industrial Intercom System has achieved the rigorous DNV Offshore Certification.

The DNV certified INTRON-D plus will lead to shorter project times without the need for case-by-case approval. With even higher reliability concerning the mechanical cabinet design, the INTRON-D plus can be used as an approved Public Address, General Alarm or PA/GA system on offshore vessels for use in the oil industry as well as passenger and cargo ships.  The INTRON-D plus system is found to comply to "DNV LSA Code VII 7.2, IMO A.1021(20) Code on alerts and indicators (2009) and IMO MSC Circ 808." The system and its components were subjected to environmental testing in accordance to DNV Standard for certification 2.4 (2006) and performance testing  in accordance to DNV Type Approval Program 848.22.
