Industry Veterans Announce Launch of New Cost Containment Firm: ClearHealth Strategies

NAPERVILLE, Ill., Sept. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearHealth Strategies (CHS) announced today their official launch and service strategy focusing on out-of-network cost containment services.  The company was founded by cost containment industry veterans: Steve Nelson, Byron Smith, Jim Doody and Bill Zaun.  Terry Harris, former SVP of Sales for Viant, Inc. will lead the company as President.

Located in Naperville, IL, CHS will focus on bringing an innovative blend of cost containment solutions to the market which will assist customers in maximizing service flexibility and savings opportunities.  The firm will initially provide out-of-network services including: Fee Negotiation, Medicare-plus repricing, APC/DRG repricing and consulting.  These services can also be coupled with a consumer advocacy service from CHS sister company, Health Payment Advocates.

The founding members, Nelson, Doody, Zaun and Smith have a successful track record in starting and growing large successful cost containment firms.  Some of the firms started by the members include Cost Management Technologies, Preferred Payment Systems (which later became Viant, Inc.) and Medical Data Research, the predecessor company to Ingenix.
