Industry's Most Prolific Circular Thinkers Join Resource Speaker Line-up for 2015

A forefather of cradle to cradle and circular economy thinking, Professor Dr. Michael Braungart is just one of the circular economy's most prolific thinkers and futurologists set to speak at Resource (http://www.resource-event.com) this March (3rd to 5th March, ExCeL London).
Now open for registration and set to attract 11,000+ next March, Resource will also play host to sessions with experts from Bio Bean, Compare and Share, EPSRC Centre for Industrial Sustainability, Superuse Studios, Sainsbury's and the University of Surrey.

Kicking off the event on Tuesday 3rd March, Braungart will discuss whether product standards are productive, and the business case for organisations to invest in progressing towards new models. The second day of Resource will see Arthur Kay, co-Founder & CEO, Bio Bean leading a talk around ways we recover energy and value from food waste. Having recently won half a million Euros in the Post Code Lottery Green Challenge, Bio Bean have taken to scale their ingenious process to upcycle coffee beans into biofuel.
Also championing the food waste debate is Paul Crewe, Head of Sustainability, Energy & Engineering at Sainsbury's who will explain how the blueprint for Sainsbury's store of the future at Cannock could be extended and what's needed for efficient handling and processing of food waste.
For those in the retail sector, Resource also has a lively session planned with Benita Matofska, Chief Sharer, Compare and Share who will take on the topic of sharing, how this affects retail strategies, and the wider impact of the next generation's willingness to share rather than own.
Future gazing in the manufacturing industry will be headed up by Professor Steve Evans from the EPSRC Centre for Industrial Sustainability who will look at the future of manufacturing and supply chains. Steve led the launch of the UK's first masters in sustainable design and has a breadth of experience ranging from collaborative projects in sustainable factories, sustainable city redevelopment through to specialist expertise in sustainable car manufacturing.
Tackling the circular economy in the sustainable construction sector, Jan Jongert, Superuse Studios (Netherlands) will look at how material flows can be the precursor to building design - achieving a truly sustainable approach to construction.
Leading Resource's third day of sessions, Professor Bruce Hood, from the University of Surrey will consider the facts from the fiction on how consumers behave today and what this means for tomorrow.
