Infragistics Announces NetAdvantage Ultimate 2011 Volume 1

CRANBURY, N.J. and ELSTREE, England, June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Infragistics, the experience design software company and a world leader in user interface (UI) development tools, announced today the availability of NetAdvantage® Ultimate 2011 Volume 1.  With new UI toolsets, development teams have the flexibility to move between platforms, maintain existing applications and create new applications on the newest platforms and devices.

NetAdvantage Ultimate 11.1 marks the debut of NetAdvantage for jQuery, the client-side control toolset designed from the ground up to be lightweight, standards-based and capable of rich, rapid construction of user interfaces for public websites, tablets and desktop applications.

This release of NetAdvantage Ultimate brings enhanced interoperability with Microsoft Word, including a Word library, extending Infragistics' portfolio of libraries, controls and components available to help end users better visualize, report and share data.

NetAdvantage for jQuery

Infragistics targets the 'modern' Web with its suite of lightweight, high-performance ASP.NET MVC and jQuery controls for the client-side that enable Web developers to fulfill the growing appetite for the best user experiences in Web browsers.  NetAdvantage for jQuery is based on emerging Web technologies including CSS3, HTML5 and streaming video.  

Microsoft Office 2010 integration is extended to the jQuery toolset enabling .NET developers to create and work with Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PDF/XPS files from within their Web applications, provided the applications are jQuery Web applications running with .NET.

NetAdvantage for jQuery debuts with numerous client controls including the Grid to examine, filter, page and sort through tabular data, Data Source to handle the heavy lifting data operations, and Rating to harvest crowd opinion in social media applications.

Line of Business Controls

Infragistics continues to invest in and extend the capabilities in Windows Forms by adding new features such as Ribbon End User Customizations to give end users complete control over the applications' user experience.

WPF and Silverlight Data Visualization

Also part of the Unified XAML Product Strategy, NetAdvantage for WPF Data Visualization and NetAdvantage for Silverlight Data Visualization, easily deliver flexible, powerful end user experiences in Business Intelligence applications.

Community Technology Previews (CTPs)

As part of 11.1, Infragistics introduces Community Technology Previews (CTPs): NetAdvantage for Windows Phone to create mobile applications full of vivid visualizations with touch and gesture support optimized for the mobile form factor and NetAdvantage Reporting, the industry's first native Silverlight and WPF reporting UI controls, to produce reports that are simple to create and easy to read.

Customers who subscribe to NetAdvantage Ultimate will automatically receive these new product releases, with expected availability in Q3 2011.

NetAdvantage Ultimate provides Infragistics customers with nine UI toolsets and all the components needed to build consistent, easy-to-use UIs across all platforms. NetAdvantage Ultimate (comprised of Windows Forms, ASP.NET, jQuery, Silverlight Line of Business, WPF Line of Business, Silverlight Data Visualization, WPF Data Visualization, Windows Phone and Reporting toolkits) is $1,895 USD (MSRP) and $2,395 USD (MSRP) with priority support.
