Infrared Systems International Announces Name and Symbol Change to Reflect New Corporate Strategy

AquaLiv Technologies, Inc. to Trade Under the New Symbol AQLV

Sep 16, 2011, 15:57 ET from AquaLiv Technologies, Inc.

SILVERDALE, Wash., Sept. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Infrared Systems International (OTCBB: IFRS) announced it has changed its name to AquaLiv Technologies, Inc. in order to better reflect its new corporate strategy.  Along with the name change the company has been issued a new symbol by FINRA of AQLV.  The name and symbol change become effective at the open of business on Monday, September 19, 2011.

The announcement comes just after the recent distribution of all assets of subsidiary Infrared Applications, Inc., a company holding patents based on infrared technology applications.

"To borrow a quote from Van Gogh, 'Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together'," stated Bill Wright, CEO of AquaLiv Technologies, Inc. "These latest achievements are simply the next steps in our pursuit of a unified vision, strategy, and goals for the company."

According to Infrared Systems International, the name change is to provide greater transparency of its focus on subsidiary AquaLiv, Inc., a life sciences research and development company.

"AquaLiv's technology represents the future of several industries and will be incredibly disruptive in the marketplace," added Mr. Wright. "With us, AquaLiv's options to properly fund its initiatives while remaining safe from any buyouts or takeovers are greatly increased.  While Craig Hoffman and his team remain focused on their business objectives, we will continue to raise the awareness and the capital necessary to take these solutions global."

"For us it is the best of both worlds," stated AquaLiv, Inc. CEO, Craig Hoffman. "We remain partially private and protect ourselves from takeover, but at the same time provide an opportunity for the public to participate in something we believe is going to be a revolution in science and industry."

Earlier this year, AquaLiv released its first agriculture product, AgSmart(TM) Rice. The product increases yields in rice crops an average of 30% and is compatible with all existing agriculture technologies, including organic growing standards. The company also introduced a drug-free HIV/AIDS treatment that is beginning clinical trials in Kenya shortly. The treatment outperforms existing antiretroviral drug treatments, but has none of the harsh side effects and can be manufactured at a significantly lower cost.
