INK-O-DEM(R) and Wake Forest University Announce Winners of Class Contest Designed to Gauge Real-World Outcomes of Inkjet Refilling Practices in US
INK-O-DEM Executive Selected for Judges' Panel at Top Business School in Nation
CHICAGO and WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- INK-O-DEM, the worldwide leader in integrated inkjet cartridge refilling and testing technology for retail and university environments, along with Wake Forest University Schools of Business, today announced the student winners of a recent marketing and finance class contest.
Five student teams gave their presentations to a panel of distinguished industry experts including Dr. James F. Cotter, Dr. Michelle D. Steward and Erin Evans of Wake Forest University, and Frank Honold of INK-O-DEM, Inc. Each student team was charged with developing strategies for financially justifying, marketing and promoting inkjet refilling services in today's challenging business climate.
The first place team's prize of $250 in WFU Bookstore gift cards was awarded for their outstanding presentation entitled "INK-O-DEM: Sales Proposition." They are: Mark Olberding (Junior) of Knoxville, TN; Jacqueline Buff (Junior) of Richmond, VA; Jordan Graumann (Junior) of West Hartford, CT; Jason Ku (Senior) of Warren, NJ and Emily Lansenkamp (Junior) of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Other monetary prizes were awarded for the runners-up winners.
The INK-O-DEM Cartridge Refilling System is located in Wake Forest University's bookstore. Given the students' enthusiasm for this unique project, university officials predict inkjet refilling will quickly take off on campus. However, anyone who needs ink for their printer can bring their empty inkjet cartridge to the bookstore for a refill at half the price of an original inkjet cartridge—whether they're a student or not.
"We are honored to be a part of this high-profile project at Wake Forest, and to support the university with a creative strategy to get students excited about saving money and conservation through inkjet refilling. INK-O-DEM looks forward to working with Wake Forest University in the future to supply all their inkjet refilling needs for the campus and its surrounding area," said Frank Honold, Chief Marketing Officer of INK-O-DEM.
"We are thrilled that INK-O-DEM helped make this contest such a huge success and our students involved were energized by it. Collectively we raised the bar on awareness of a responsible, green practice that is fiscally sound for us as well as the students," said Dr. Cotter of Wake Forest University.
