SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Zephyr, a company that has transformed the kitchen through design, discovery, and customer care, today announced a new software experience for the Zephyr HyperCore™ Induction Cooktop powered by Impulse, highlighting one of the product's most forward-thinking capabilities: Wi-Fi-enabled over-the-air software updates that allow HyperCore™ to receive new features after installation.
The latest update introduces a redesigned software experience with new individual timers for each heating element, an improved system information bar, and a more intuitive way to access important cooking and appliance information. The updated interface was designed to make key information easier to see and access while establishing a foundation for future HyperCore™ capabilities.
Unlike traditional appliances whose functionality remains fixed after installation, HyperCore™ receives over-the-air software updates when connected to Wi-Fi, helping ensure the cooktop stays current with the latest software features, functionality, and improvements.
Each of the cooktop's four heating elements now includes its own dedicated timer, allowing users to keep multiple dishes on track simultaneously. Once a timer is complete, the interface can also display elapsed time until the timer is dismissed. The redesigned system information area provides clearer, at-a-glance access to appliance-wide information including battery status, Wi-Fi connectivity, notifications, and software updates. Element-specific information is also more clearly organized, allowing cooks to quickly see details such as active power, temperature, timer status, and notifications without distracting from the cooking experience.

The HyperCore™ collection is now available in both 30- and 36-inches, giving designers, builders, and homeowners greater flexibility across a range of kitchen layouts. The recently introduced 36-inch model brings the same power, precision, software capabilities, and intelligent control to a larger format.
A built-in battery supports HyperCore's peak performance while allowing installation through a standard 120V or 240V outlet. Sleek removable magnetic knobs provide tactile control and effortless cleanup, while the cooktop's low-profile design integrates seamlessly into contemporary kitchens.
