Pesticide Industry stages farces year after year, namely, up and down along with the emergence of new pesticides. A new pesticide goes into the market almost every year. At the same time, some products also withdraw from the market. In China, there are 30,000 pesticide products (including specifications), but no more than 1,000 products achieved good sales in the market, according to a rough estimation. Pesticide products' success rate is less than 3% in China Pesticide Industry. Most products face deficits and listing failure, which causes incalculable losses for the pesticide companies. On the contrary, if a new listed product has large influence in China (China is a big pesticide consumer), it will bring endless profits to its company.

DuPont, a well-known international agrichemical company, by virtue of its new product-cyantraniliprole, starts to capture China's market again. Cyantraniliprole, registered in China in Sept. this year, is expected to go into Chinese market in 2013, which will be a disaster for domestic pesticide companies. Generally, the listing of new products from foreign companies like DuPont and Syngenta can achieve excellent results mainly because of their strong R&D capacities and comprehensive promotion. For example, Chlorantraniliprole from DuPont has been largely welcomed by more and more farmers since it came into Chinese market in 2008.

In Sept. 2012, cyantraniliprole, a novel insecticide discovered by DuPont, gets registered in China, indicating that it will enter Chinese market very soon.

In the end of July 2012, Yichun Xinlong is geared to a project of 2,000t/a MBNPV SC and puts it into production in Aug. 2012.

Jiangsu Huangma finishes establishing its new production lines of 500t/a bifenthrin technical, of 300t/a cyhalothrin technical and of 1,000t/a lambda cyhalothrin acid, and put them into production on Sept. 10, 2012.

Sufluoxime, a novel oxime ether insecticide discovered by HRICI, is expected to be launched in the near future.

Insecticide OD formulation is very rare in domestic market and some companies are trying to develop it.

DuPont spends so much time and energy in cracking down illegal chlorantraniliprole products in recent years, but it still has a long way to go.

On 10 Aug. 2012, Shaanxi Sunger gets the registration of 5% fipronil ZX, becoming the third company that developed fipronil seed treatment product in domestic market.

China's export volume of insecticides decreases in the first eight months this year, while the export value witnesses some increase.

Two domestic companies finally get the spinosad technical registration, which will strengthen the promotion of the product in China.

It is predicted that late rice insect pests will occur seriously in the most areas of China in the rest of 2012.

The number of formal diafenthiuron registrations in China has soared since July 2012.
