Insurance Administrative Solutions Promotes Mark Postove to Senior VP & Director of IT
The promotion is part of IAS's strategic efforts to broaden the IT service capabilities the company offers its insurance company partners
LARGO, Fla, Feb 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Insurance Administrative Solutions (IAS), one of the largest third party administration companies in the life and health insurance industry for Medicare Supplement, announced today that it has promoted Mark Postove to Senior Vice President and Director of Information Technology.
Postove, who entered the actuarial profession in 1976 and became an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, was an independent software developer prior to joining IAS. Hired with the company in 1998, Postove now oversees the applications, systems, and model office areas of IAS's growing IT department, which now includes a total of 24 full-time, in-house staffers.
In his new role, Postove will become more involved with new business development and will increase his focus on developing new software and programming capabilities for existing customers.
"As a leading provider of third party administration solutions through innovative, custom-built platforms, it is critical that we have a robust and adaptable IT department that can respond quickly to our clients' needs," said Randy Samples, President of IAS. "Mark is working on several new initiatives that we are very excited about because they will give our customers access to more resources to help them run their businesses more efficiently and profitably, and that is our fundamental mission."
"One of IAS's core philosophies is that we adapt to our clients' needs rather than force them to adapt to ours," said Postove in an interview on Wednesday. "I see IT as the engine driving that philosophy in many ways. Whether our customers utilize us for agent compensation, claims processing, or policyholder communications, our mission is to make sure we build IT solutions that address their specific needs."
IAS administers all types of life and health products with particular emphasis on Medicare Supplement plans. The company has clients across the country, ranging from small to very large insurance entities. The combined in-force blocks of MedSupp lives that IAS currently services rival the largest carriers in the country.
The company's successful business model allows it to provide customized solutions to each client's unique needs. Whether it's from a compliance, IT, or accounting standpoint, the basic value proposition IAS offers insurance carriers is the ability to piggyback on its economies of scale and do more with less.
