InsureMyTrip Survey Reveals Majority of Travelers Unaware of Their Health Insurance Coverage Abroad

WARWICK, R.I., Feb. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ --  A recent survey conducted by InsureMyTrip reveals a critical gap in travel preparedness among international travelers. While 79% of travelers express concern about getting sick or injured while traveling abroad, only 41% know whether their domestic health insurance provides coverage outside their home country.

The InsureMyTrip survey was conducted online and sent to those adults identified as policyholders or those interested in travel insurance. The survey was conducted from January 27, 2025 – Feb 5, 2025, and generated 1646 completed responses.
