SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Sept. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Interactive Health today announced it has received the highest accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in the category of "Wellness and Health Promotion with Performance Reporting."
Interactive Health is one of only two wellness providers to continuously earn this recognition since the accreditation's inception in 2009, and it is one of only 10 wellness companies to hold the accreditation with performance reporting this year.
"Achieving this accreditation is the goal of every wellness organization that is focused on quality and results," said Jane Ruppert, senior vice president of clinical service delivery at Interactive Health. "We have grown tremendously in recent years and NCQA's standards have increasingly become more rigorous, which we applaud."
Interactive Health helps businesses solve for rising healthcare costs through annual health evaluations and year-round services, such as coaching, which empower employees to adopt new habits.
The credential illustrates Interactive Health's willingness to provide statistics on outcomes achieved and have all services and business operations, including privacy and security, externally audited by a national oversight committee of physicians.
The evaluation focuses on how wellness programs are implemented in the workplace; the breadth and quality of services provided; and how sensitive health information is safeguarded.
"NCQA's Wellness and Health Promotion Accreditation requires organizations to demonstrate their compliance with well-defined standards and quality measures," said Margaret E. O'Kane, NCQA president. "The NCQA seal will provide employers and consumers with the information they need to choose the best program in their markets."
