
InterActive Leisure Systems, Inc. Announces Completion of Corporate Reorganization, Name Change, and Appointment of New CEO
LONDON, July 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- InterActive Leisure Systems, Inc. (OTC: IALS) (formerly known as Dukeshire Ventures Inc.) is pleased to announce that the company has completed a corporate reorganization including a name and symbol change and has appointed Mr. Richard Dickieson as the company's President and CEO.
Richard Dickieson has a long and established career in the travel industry. As President of Private Label Travel/ International Travel Brands, Dickieson led the operation of a $30 million multi brand tour company and was responsible for a 60 person inbound call center. He oversaw the implementation of a new tour operator reservation system including an online booking engine and acquired three tour businesses specializing in golf, ski and Italian vacations.
Dickieson was the former Vice President of Systems Development for Classic Vacations Group, a $300 million, publicly traded company, where he led an evaluation project to select and implement a new enterprise system for the company's multiple business units and personally analyzed and reviewed seven finalist systems.
From 1996 to 2000, Dickieson served as the Vice President of DER Travel Services, USA a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, the German National Railroad, and turned the company around from a $500,000 loss to a $600,000 profit in one year. He was instrumental in implementing a more efficient plan to change the reservations mix from 100% voice to 50% electronic and 50% voice. Dickieson's responsibilities included a $120 million, 100 person multi product call center and the reservations, IT, documentation, distribution, web site, customer service, training, and product development departments.
In 1985, Dickieson founded and was the President of McTravel, the Nation's first discount travel agency; managing its growth from startup stage to annual sales of over $20 million. He designed and implemented the systems necessary for a 100% fee based operation and managed the marketing initiatives to sell "Private Label" discount travel to affinity groups.
When asked about his plans for the company Dickieson stated, "We are poised to begin implementing our plan of acquiring a technology platform on which to base our three complementary business units. These units consist of:
