Internationally Bestselling Author David Richards' New Novel, The Lighthouse Keeper, Helps Readers Master Their Own Minds in Their Free Time

Although his latest book is a novel, Richards says it contains lifestyle tools wrapped in a diverting plot. The Lighthouse Keeper is the story of Sam Seagrim, a chicken farmer's son who does not want to follow in his father's footsteps. To avoid that fate, he becomes an apprentice to the lighthouse keeper and undergoes a journey in which he learns how to master his own mind. Although he never worked in a lighthouse Richards' life does parallel Sam's in one way.  Richards spent 15 years on active duty in the Marines before breaking from the path his father and brother had followed by choosing military careers.

He chose Sam's desired occupation deliberately. Richards says, "I got the idea to have my protagonist work at a lighthouse because most people's minds are like the ocean and they send out their light like a lighthouse instead of directing their attention where they want it to go."
