PITTSBURGH, Jan. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- It's probably safe to assume that most drivers have either had their vehicle rear-ended or know someone else to whom this has happened. Fortunately, an inventor from Bronx, N.Y., has found a way to minimize the damage in minor rear-end crashes.
She developed TECK CUSTOM GUARD to protect the rear end of a motor vehicle against damage if hit from behind. As such, it improves travel safety by absorbing impact from contact with another vehicle or object. Furthermore, it saves time and effort otherwise spent dealing with the aftermath of an automotive rear end collision. At the same time, it reduces costly repair expenses and keeps the rear bumper in original condition for a better overall appearance of the vehicle. It also serves as an attractive and customizable automotive accessory. In addition, it is durable, practical, effective and easy to install and remove.
The inventor's personal observation inspired the idea. "I've seen so many cars with unsightly damage to the rear end since that area of the vehicle is not effectively insulated against impact," she said. "I remembered that years ago cars had rubber bumpers and thought installing them today would protect against damage."
The original design was submitted to the Manhattan office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
