PITTSBURGH, Jan. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Hard to reach areas like roofs and gutters present a maintenance challenge for most homeowners. Fortunately, two inventors from Montgomery, Texas, have found an easy solution.
They developed a prototype for ROOF & GUTTER RAKE to aid in cleaning out debris that accumulates on the roof surface and in roof gutters. It prevents pine needles and leaves from sitting on the roof and causing the shingles to rot. As such, it prevents gutter clogs to facilitate proper water flow into downspouts. At the same time, it provides easy access to high rooftops without the need for a ladder, reducing the chances of injuries from falls. This novel approach to roof maintenance is also safe, durable, lightweight, portable and easy to use. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced. The invention is very versatile with an adjustable head and the choice of a rake or brush.
The inventors' personal experience inspired the idea. "We have always had trouble keeping our roof surface and roof gutters clear of dirt and debris since they are difficult to reach," one of them said, "and wanted a safe way to get the job done on a regular basis. We needed to clean leaves and pine needles off the roof."
