PITTSBURGH, Sept. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- An inventor from Channelview, Texas, has developed the E-SQUEEGEE, a modified manual squeegee for use in screen printing operations. It will help partially automate the screen printing process.
"After running a print job with 600 T-shirts with multiple colors on a manual press, my hands were worn and sore from applying pressure to the squeegee. At that moment, the idea of self-automating the process came to mind," said the inventor. The E-SQUEEGEE eliminates the need for a traditional handheld squeegee. It allows for comparatively low effort, single handed operation. This will, in turn, reduce worker fatigue and related issues. It will also increase productivity and reduce production costs. This modified squeegee will help improve overall print quality and consistency. It will speed up the screen printing process. Finally, it is ergonomic and easy to use.
