PITTSBURGH, March 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "I was backing up to a boat trailer, and the tongue/hitch of the trailer damaged the back door and rear of my truck," said an inventor from Virginia Beach, Va. "I thought that there had to be a way to prevent this from happening again."
He created a prototype for the HITCH MATE to serve as a protective device for the tongue of a trailer hitch. The accessory prevents the trailer from damaging a vehicle while backing up for connection. It also keeps individuals from injuring their legs if they bump into the tongue. The device is easy to put on and take off. Furthermore, the accessory is producible in different sizes.
The original design was submitted to the Virginia Beach office of InventHelp. It is currently patent pending and available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
