PITTSBURGH, Oct. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- While anyone with food allergies must be constantly on guard to circumvent a risk to their health, until now this has been quite a challenge. Thanks to the creative thinking of two inventors from Charlotte, N.C., however, that is no longer the case.
They developed AL-ALERT BAND to provide timely access to crucial personal information regarding food allergies and other medical issues. As such, it alerts users to foods and which may cause allergic reactions resulting in illness or death. In other words, it allows users to evaluate food safety by providing data on food ingredients. Thus, it prevents exposure to food-related illness and saves lives, affording peace of mind for those with diet restrictions. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced.
The inventors' personal experience inspired the idea. "Because of my daughter's anaphylactic reaction to nuts and derivatives," one of them said, "I felt it was imperative for anyone with food allergies to be protected against exposure to foods that cause illness or even death."
The original design was submitted to the Charlotte office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
