Invesco Mortgage Capital Inc. Announces Public Offering of Common Stock

ATLANTA, Jan. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Invesco Mortgage Capital Inc. (the "Company") (NYSE: IVR) announced today that it plans to make a public offering of 15,000,000 shares of its common stock. The Company will grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,250,000 shares of common stock.  The underwriters may offer the common stock from time to time in one or more transactions in the over-the-counter market or through negotiated transactions at market prices or at negotiated prices.

The Company expects to use the net proceeds from this offering to make additional acquisitions of residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities and mortgage loans, on a leveraged basis, and for other general corporate purposes.
