"Investigation Hour" Returns to Discovery en Espanol With New Suspenseful Series
Among the much awaited premieres, is a brand new season of "Instinto Asesino", a series that examines some of the most notorious and macabre crimes in Latin America
MIAMI, June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- This June, Discovery en Espanol premieres a brand new season of "Investigation Hour". This popular programming block will encompass five series that delve into the fascinating world of forensic science, including many of the new scientific techniques used to resolve crimes and better understand the psychology behind notorious criminals. "Investigation Hour" can be seen every Monday through Friday at 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT throughout the year.
One of the most anticipated programming returns this season is "Instinto Asesino" (Crimes that Shook Latin America), a series that analyzes some of the worst crimes and serial criminals in Latin America. This original production examines the conduct of these psychopaths, the elements of each crime scene, and the most relevant events that led to their resolution. The eight-episode series airs every Friday night at 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT. "Instinto Asesino" probes into the highly publicized cases of the Mexican Claudia Mijangos, alias the hyena of Queretano; The Monster of Rio Claro in Brazil, and the Pozzeto massacre in Colombia, among others.
The new season of "Investigation Hour" will also bring viewers exciting episodes of "Fuga Casi Perfecta", "Caso Cerrado", "Los Sobrevivientes" and "Forenses al Extremo". Via news reports, dramatizations, and exclusive interviews with witnesses, surviving victims, forensic scientists and investigators, these five suspense filled series showcase how these crimes are meticulously dissected and reconstructed, including the newest tools available to forensic investigators and the latest knowledge behind how the criminal mind works.

Fuga Casi Perfecta – Mondays at 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT
For these perpetrators, the stories may be different, but the motives are always the same - to stay out of prison and live life on the lam. The people profiled in Fuga Casi Perfecta have evaded justice for years, sometimes decades, by using their families, fake identification and even violence to avoid capture. Each episode features an interview from prison with these slick culprits, who spill where they found shelter, how they changed their identities and how they almost got away with it.
Caso Cerrado – Tuesdays at 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT
Each episode sees a mysterious murder case told through first-person accounts directly from America's elite law enforcement officers. A highly experienced team of scientists including forensic analysts, computer forensic specialists, trace evidence experts, crime scene technicians and handwriting experts present the remarkable investigation techniques, which helped solve these brutal crimes.
Los Sobrevivientes – Wednesdays at 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT
This series features the death-defying and moving stories of people who, regardless of the obstacles or consequences, were determined to survive an animal attack. Over the course of 10 episodes, the program immerses viewers in the psychological experience of those involved, focusing on what pulled them through and what left them powerfully changed.
Forenses al Extremo - Thursdays 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT
Compelling cases, bizarre crime scenes, and criminal minds so conniving they defy understanding. Everyone is a suspect. New, never-before seen forensic techniques are employed to solve the most puzzling of cases.
