IPC The Hospitalist Company Acquires Hospitalist Practice in Michigan

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPCM), a leading national hospitalist physician group practice company, announced today that it has acquired Mid-Michigan Hospitalist Group, PC. Headquartered in Grand Blanc, Michigan, a suburb of Flint, the acquisition of this acute care practice represents a further expansion for IPC in the Michigan market, where the company already has an established presence. Mid-Michigan Hospitalist Group has an annualized volume of approximately 20,000 patient encounters.
