TORONTO, Aug. 13, 2014 /CNW/ - IRESS, the leading supplier of financial markets and wealth management systems, has appointed Glenn Wilson as Managing Director and Regional Head, IRESS Canada.
The appointment is in support of IRESS' growth plans in the region. Mr Wilson brings extensive experience to the role, with 20 years of experience working for and delivering solutions in capital markets technology and execution, including a key role at Citigroup as COO of Electronic Execution. Most recently he has been responsible for building IRESS' Financial Markets offering in the UK.

Glenn Wilson biography
Most recently based in London as Managing Director, UK and Europe; responsible for building IRESS' Financial Markets offering in the UK and across Europe. Glenn has 20 years of experience, both working for and delivering solutions to the investment banking industry. More than half of this time has been spent in London where he has worked for the likes of Schroders, Salomons and Citigroup.
Glenn has worked across a range of specialisations including Derivatives, Structured products and Equities. His most recent roles included COO of Electronic Execution at Citi and as Director responsible for the building of the Wholesale Execution business in EMEA.
Glenn is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and has worked at Deloitte and also worked as a Director of Peresys in South Africa (later acquired by IRESS).
