NEW YORK, July 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- EyeLock Inc., a market leader of iris-based identity authentication solutions, today announced the immediate availability of a software development kit (SDK) to accelerate the deployment and adoption of the Company's proprietary technology.

EyeLock's suite of iris biometric technology products can be used to accurately, safely and securely authenticate identities in both physical and logical environments. Second only to DNA, the iris is the most accurate method of trusted identity authentication. The iris provides a rich matrix of complex, stable and accurate characteristics which EyeLock uniquely translates into a highly scalable, instantaneous and reliable method of obtaining trusted identity that can be deployed across verticals – from enterprise environments, hospitals and schools to homeland security, hotels, banks and beyond.

The EyeLock SDK is an easy-to-use set of API libraries that enables users to rapidly develop and deploy iris-based authentication software applications that communicate with and control EyeLock products. The EyeLock SDK APIs are also used to capture video iris images, convert into iris templates, enroll users by adding them to an embedded or external database, match new iris templates against an existing database, allow physical or logical access based on authentication of a match and manage an iris template database.
