Irish Shred Records Releases Pursuit of Power's Second Heavy Metal Album 'Sacra Metallum'

LA PORTE, Ind., Nov. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The heavy metal band Pursuit Of Power are excited to announce that after working in the studio for over a year, they have finally released their second cd "Sacra Metallum."  Containing twelve originals, this one is a little heavier, a little more progressive, and more metal than their debut cd "Across The World." They have made three songs from the new cd available for streaming at www.pursuitofpowermetal.com.  Those songs are "Revenge Is Massacre," "Day Of Judgement," and "Maybe."  "Sacra Metallum" is available both as a physical cd and as a download and will have worldwide distribution from Irish Shred Records.

With this release, Pursuit Of Power have set out to deliver something fresh and new as well as a bit different to the heavy metal world.  About seventy-five percent of the songs on "Sacra Metallum" are purposely arranged different than a traditional song.  Rather than repeating with choruses, they take the listener on a one-way listening journey from the beginning to the end of the song. 

"Sacra Metallum" means "Sacred Metal" in Latin, and that is exactly what Pursuit Of Power have set out to deliver with this release.  While staying true to the melodic nature of their first release, they have livened things up with a two guitar attack, thickened things up with a driving bass guitar and double bass drumming, and the vocals are done with far more range this time around.

To get the job done on "Sacra Metallum," founding guitarist Martin McCann assembled a band of metal musicians whom he had previously worked with in the past.  Some big changes from the debut cd are the additions of second rhythm and lead guitarist Shane Garber, bassist Mike Richards, drummer Dave Eskridge who performs on seven songs, and drummer Al Droomok who performs on five songs.  Original vocalist Steve Mullican Jr. once again does all of the lead vocals.  Another big change from the debut in which McCann wrote all of the music and lyrics is that on "Sacra Metallum," a total of five writers have credits.  These new musicians and new writers have add a fresh new dimension to Pursuit Of Power.
