ISM-New York Announces First Annual Company Award Winners
NEW YORK, June 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- At its Annual Meeting held on May 21, 2015 at the headquarters of PricewaterhouseCoopers, ISM-New York announced its first Company of the Year Award winners. The ISM-New York Board of Directors chose to recognize companies which help to advance the goals, mission and purpose of ISM-New York through their involvement. This will be done annually.
The Board of Directors developed these awards and the criteria in four specific areas to highlight; Outstanding Supplier Diversity Program Award, Outstanding Sponsor Award, Outstanding Membership Support Award and Company of the Year.
The winner of the Outstanding Supplier Diversity Program was determined via an application process and formally announced at the Supplier Diversity EXPO & Membership Meeting held on April 16, 2015. The first winner of this award was National Grid. Fleur Callender of National Grid's Supplier Diversity Department accepted the award.
The other award winners were determined by unanimous decision of the ISM-New York Board of Directors based on qualifications, participation of the company's members in our events, activities, Professional Development & the Annual Conference.
Outstanding Sponsor Award was awarded to a company that in the opinion of the ISM-New York Board and the Executive Director provided outstanding support in sponsoring sourcing groups, membership meetings, or overall sponsor of activities and events of ISM-New York. This year's winner is Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG). Eliseo Rojas Vice President, Global Sourcing & Procurement received the award.
Outstanding Membership Support Award was awarded to a company that has the largest number of members attending ISM-New York functions. These include membership meetings, sourcing group meetings, professional development seminars, and the Annual Conference. Winning the award was Estee Lauder and receiving the award for Estee Lauder was William Gunn, Vice-President Global Indirect Procurement and Sarah Chu, Manager Global Indirect Procurement.
Company of the Year Award was given to an organization which excelled in providing the best overall support in professional development, the highest percentage increase in membership, overall percentage of members at meetings or other events, and/or sponsorship of ISM-New York events. The engagement of this company in its constant growth of its membership, message to its staff on the importance of education and certification, being engaged on all levels of management made them the clear winner. The very first winner of the Company of the Year was given to Bloomberg LP and the award was received by Chris Berger, Head of Global Procurement, Travel and Expense and Debbie Jaslow Shatz, manager.
