Isola Bella Provides Relief to FAA Students from Government Shutdown
OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Isola Bella Apartments has long been the largest provider of FAA Student housing in Oklahoma City. The government shutdown has created real hardship for many Federal employees, including FAA Student training at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. FAA Students come from across the United States and overseas to train at the facility. The abrupt shutdown of the government forces students to return home, and then travel back once the shutdown ends.
To help turn this problem into a benefit for the students, Isola Bella has been providing complimentary housing in January for students during the shutdown. As part of its basic plan for serviced residents, Isola Bella provides not only a full apartment home, but also includes dining privileges with hot breakfast and dinner on weekdays and weekend brunches. Isola Bella continues to provide this service to the affected students residing at the property.
"This has been a huge relief. Being able to stay for free while we are not getting a paycheck is an amazing help. This changes the shutdown into a manageable situation that ends up providing us with more time to study because we can stay in place," says David Coria. Mr. Coria lives in El Paso, Texas and is currently studying to be an air traffic controller, at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City.
