Issa PR Takes on START as First Pro Bono Client This Year
NEW YORK, May 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- New luxury brand strategy and public relations agency, Issa will handle pro bono work for NGO - START this year. START is a charity which organizes art workshops for refugees, orphans and special needs children across the Middle East and India. Over 55 workshops across Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, India, Egypt and the UAE are spearheaded every week, reaching over 1,500 children in each region combined.
START's mission is to heal and educate children who have suffered from war, pain and loss. Many of their students have perceived things no child should ever see, so START workshops provide these vulnerable children a safe and secure environment to learn, interact with their peers, develop their skills and creativity.
Issa PR will handle two campaigns for the organization this year. The first around World Refugee Day on June 20 will launch START's collaboration with Paddle 8 to raise awareness for the refugee crisis across the Middle East and START's efforts to support vulnerable children through art. This auction enables artists to donate works of art to the charity to raise the much needed funds during the two week online auction. Some of the international and local artists START will partner with include: Katrin Fridriks, Pryce Lee, Erik Foss, Drew Conrad, Pablo Power, Heath West, Jeannete Hayes, Lauren Seldan, Maisoon Al Saleh, Rania Jishi, Reza Derakshani, Alia Dawood, Yasmina Alaoui, Milma McMillan and Aziz Al Mudhaf. A second campaign at the end of the year will focus on providing essential items to displaced orphans from the war.
