Issue Media Group and the New Economy Initiative Launch New Website Dedicated to Entrepreneurship
DETROIT, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Issue Media Group, publishers of Model D, Metromode, and Concentrate, in partnership with the New Economy Initiative, announced the launch of Startup, a new website devoted exclusively to entrepreneurship in Southeast Michigan.
Southeast Michigan Startup (www.semichiganstartup.com ) showcases the entrepreneurs who are constructing the narrative of what's next in the new economy. It tracks more than 400 new companies in Michigan and highlights businesses driven by local founders with great potential for creating the next generation of jobs for the region.
The site delivers timely stories and news plus comprehensive profiles on successful Michigan entrepreneurs. More importantly, the site connects business owners and perspective entrepreneurs to the resources they need to be successful.
"Startup will provide a tool to visually showcase the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Detroit region," said New Economy Initiative Executive Director, David Egner. "We believe that the innovative ideas and business practices underway in Southeast Michigan tell the real story of where our regional economy is going and how Michigan is developing the next generation of entrepreneurs, companies and jobs that will fuel the economy for decades to come."
"The story of Southeast Michigan's manufacturing job collapse has been well documented. We felt strongly that the story of growing companies and the passion of the people starting them was not being told," said Brian Boyle, publisher at Issue Media Group. "We hope to change that by providing a resource that tracks this area's growing companies with new depth and sophistication."
Startup was designed to distribute news and information to entrepreneurship to a broad network including business accelerators, media partners, and companies. Additionally, the site features a wide range of tools including personalized news, a comprehensive visual directory of growing businesses and access to targeted business resources.
