Italtel and Partner GruppoINIT Innovate Network and Services of Tuscan Operator Terrecablate

Italtel and the Channel Partner GruppoINIT have been awarded the tender for the innovation of network and services of Terrecablate, regional service provider based in Siena.

Italtel, a leading player in the development and integration of fixed and mobile networks for enterprises and service providers of any size, announces that it will deliver with GruppoINIT, the first system integrator certified as Italtel Channel Partner, the evolution of the network and the services of Tuscan carrier Terrecablate that offers broadband and ultra broadband services with high quality standards through its own telecommunications network to business and residential customers.

To meet the new communication needs of customers and offer new value-added services with a high "Quality of Experience", Terrecablate has launched a project for the improvement of its network and the enrichment of its service portfolio.

The project will be carried out by Italtel in close collaboration with GruppoINIT, partner for the delivery and support of Italtel solutions, that are designed to ensure service providers with high quality and optimization of investments and operating costs.

The new infrastructure will enable Terrecablate to offer Unified Communication services in the Cloud - a benefit for the competitiveness of business customers - and new value-added services for residential customers.

The operator will enhance the performance of the network and take advantage of a reduction of operating expenses by migrating smoothly from the current TDM technology platform towards a Next-Generation Network (NGN) architecture ready for the evolution to 3GPP IMS standards. It can also optimize interconnection with the networks of other operators, in TDM or IP-based technology.
