It's Mani Madness Season!

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- In the spirit of one of the most popular annual sporting events in the United States, NCAA's March Madness, OPI is excited to announce their first ever bracket style competitive nail art tournament, #OPIManiMadness. Starting March 12, 2019 16 top nail artists throughout North America will go head to head on @OPI and @OPI_Professionals Instagram accounts to create the best competition-worthy nail looks in four, single-elimination rounds. One winner will take the title as the 2019 #OPIManiMadness All-Star Nail Champion.

OPI fans are encouraged to create their very own custom #OPIManiMadness brackets before tipoff on February 25 – March 11, 2019 at opi.com/blog. Participants can submit a bracket with their picks for which nail artist they think has the best skills and techniques to win each round. The most accurate bracket predictions will win a grand prize chosen on April 2, 2019, comprised of two tickets to an NBA basketball game and $100 in salon nail services.

Each week, OPI fans will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the best nail art looks through special polling on @OPI and @OPI_Professionals Instagram Stories to determine the winner that advances to the next round. The final #OPIManiMadness All-Star Nail Champion and the winning nail art look will be selected on April 2, 2019 and shared on @OPI and @OPI_Professionals Instagram's. The final nail art champion will win tickets for two to Minneapolis, Minnesota to see the NCAA March Madness Championship game.

The competition is sure to heat up with these four challenge rounds:

Sweet Sixteen (kickoff March 11, voting March 12-13)
NCAA Inspired Nail Art // one NCAA team inspired nail art

Elite Eight (kickoff March 18, voting March 19-20)
Wild Card Round // any one of the following trending nail art techniques including ombre, marble, minimal nail art & foil nail art

Final Four (kickoff March 25, voting March 26-27)
Basketball Game Themed Nail Art // any nail art technique & design that's basketball game inspired

Championship (kickoff March 31, voting April 1-2)
Championship Inspired Nail Art // any nail art technique & embellishments that illustrate trophy-like nail art
