It's Official, the Institute of Medical Cannabis Opens in Boca Raton, Florida

BOCA RATON, Fla., June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Institute of Medical Cannabis, a first of its kind in Palm Beach County, is now in session!  IMC has enrolled over 25 individuals for their first course in June, Introduction to Medical Cannabis.  This is a 12 hour course that is designed to provide individuals with the initial information & skills needed to understand all facets of the medical cannabis industry.  In addition, the Institute of Medical Cannabis will offer 3 more courses starting in July.  The courses will range in price from $249 to $399 and are between 6-12 hours in length.  Individuals will learn by attending lectures and receiving practical training in fully operational grow rooms.  Registration is now open for all July courses.

With the polls averaging over 70% support for Amendment 2, things are in full swing in the Sunshine State.  Florida's medical marijuana industry (if it passes) is expected to be the 2nd largest in the country, only behind California!  With annual sales estimated to range between $700 million to several billion dollars, there's no secret why the industry is such a hot topic even with 5 months before it goes to vote.  Florida's Department of Health estimates that there will be approximately 417,252 qualified patients, over 250,000 caregivers, & about 1,800 medical marijuana treatment centers, AKA Dispensaries.  "People are not waiting; this is not an industry where you can afford to learn on the job," says Sheridan Rafer, founder and instructor at IMC.
