It's Time Network Partners With Mayor Hancock And City And County Of Denver To Host First-ever Gender Equity Summit May 31

DENVER, May 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In the first meeting of its kind in the United States, the It's Time 2017: Denver Gender Equity Summit, scheduled for May 31, will bring together city mayors and managers, and community leaders to develop specific policy recommendations for advancing gender equity in workplace settings.

Hosted by It's Time Network (ITN), Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock's Office, Denver's Office on Women and Families and the Denver Women's Commission, attendees will include members of the Metro Mayors Caucus and leaders, and grassroots participants from the public, private, nonprofit and community sectors. Using a unique conference technology and format, known as America Speaks, participants will be able to see common themes and opinions displayed in real time and vote on a set of actionable priorities on each topic electronically, for immediate and transparent results.

Summit outcomes will be used to drive legislation and other actions to support gender equity in the community as well as to inform a local agenda for ITN's Network City Program. Launching in Denver simultaneously with the summit, the Network City Program is a national, cross-sector, inclusive network for individuals and organizations to work together on collective impact projects that protect and advance the rights of women and girls in their cities and beyond.
