IXYS and Zilog Introduce New Digital Power Control Reference Designs That Feature IXYS(R) Power Semiconductors and Zilog(R) Microcontrollers

BIEL, Switzerland, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- IXYS Corporation (Nasdaq: IXYS), a leader in power semiconductors, Mixed signal ICs and MCUs for improved power management, energy efficiency and renewable energy, announced today the introduction of new reference designs that will be demonstrated at the PCIM Europe 2010 show in Nuremberg, Germany, in IXYS Booth 12/401.

The Motor Control reference designs feature the Z8 Encore!® Z8FMC16100 MCU and a brushless DC motor. A motion sensing and control design features the Zilog ZMOTION™ with technology based on a passive infrared sensor and the Z8 Encore! Z8F082A microcontroller. Also being demonstrated for advanced LED lighting control is the Z8 Encore! XP Z8F1680 microcontroller-based design controlling an IXYS LED driver, LDS8720, driving 32 LEDs that is powered by IXYS solar cells.
