J C Potter Earns Coveted Global Food Safety Certification

DURANT, Okla., Sept. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- J C Potter Sausage Company's processing facility in Durant, Oklahoma has once again been awarded its food safety certification under the comprehensive guidelines established by the Global Food Safety Initiative, the company announced in a news release. J C Potter is a leading producer of both Fresh Breakfast Sausage and refrigerated and frozen Breakfast Sandwich products which are sold in major retail grocery outlets throughout the United States.

The "Global Food Safety Initiative" (GFSI) program is a worldwide system that provides independent verification that each certified food processor has initiated and conformed to food safety and food quality international and domestic food safety regulations. It is considered the "gold standard" of food safety management and has been adopted by many leading US food retailers and their key suppliers.
