DALLAS, March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- AirVault today announced that James G. Brunke, a world-renowned expert on commercial and defense aviation, will be joining the AirVault Advisory Board and plans to join the company in attending Aviation Week's MRO Americas 2012 in Dallas on April 3rd. He will advise the company on logistics, the MRO industry, and the future of aviation maintenance. The AirVault Advisory Board (http://www.airvault.com/company/background/board-of-advisors/) is comprised of top leaders in the aviation world, active and retired, who continue to serve to strengthen and grow this critical industry.
With Boeing since 1995, Brunke was promoted in 2003 to Vice President, Supply Chain Services for Boeing's Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). In this position, he was responsible for spares, repairs and component overhauls for all of Boeing's defense products and services. During his leadership, the spares unit grew to over $1 billion in gross sales. Following this, he was named Vice President, Advanced Logistics for Integrated Defense Systems. Transferring to the Seattle area in 2006, Brunke returned to the commercial side as Vice President Global MRO Services for Boeing's Commercial Aviation Services (CAS). He successfully led Boeing's Commercial Aircraft AOG repair teams, created the MRO strategy for Commercial Aviation Services and was appointed to the Board of Directors of Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Inc. Brunke's final assignment at Boeing was Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Inc., a Chinese joint venture company. In that role, Brunke led a multi-national staff of over 350 technical professionals in the construction and start-up of an MRO facility. This facility, located at Pudong International Airport in Shanghai, totals 500,000 square feet and is capable of MRO services on all types of commercial airplanes. In early 2009, Brunke retired from the Boeing Company to expand his career as a management consultant.
Critical Technologies CEO, John Oldham, said, "Our company is honored that Jim Brunke has agreed to join the AirVault Advisory Board. A true visionary and an inspired teacher, Jim will be an invaluable guide as AirVault expands its service from a records-storage to a records-analysis and storage solution."
