Jarrett Companies Acquires Schneider National Property in Seville

ORRVILLE, Ohio, March 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Jarrett Companies, based in Orrville, OH, is pleased to announce the purchase of the property formerly owned by Schneider National located in Seville, OH.  Jarrett Companies, which currently employs 260 employees, is the parent of Jarrett Logistics Systems, a third party logistics company and the flagship brand in their corporate portfolio, PackShip, a white glove & final mile carrier and Jarrett Fleet Services, a truck fleet maintenance company.

Schneider National will lease back 6 acres of the property from Jarrett Companies for parking and dropping & hooking of their equipment.

Jarrett Fleet Services (JFS) will relocate to the property and will occupy two service buildings totaling 37,000 square feet of shop space to expand its maintenance and repair services to its customers.  The 53-acre property is located near the I-71 and I-76 interchanges, which is in a heavy truck traffic area with easy accessibility to the Cleveland and Akron markets, allowing JFS an opportunity for significant growth.

PackShip will be utilizing the property for dropping & hooking of their equipment and as an autonomous truck Transfer Hub.  When autonomous trucks become commercially available, the property will be utilized as a Transfer Hub, where trailers are exchanged between driverless trucks and local drivers.  Autonomous trucks will haul trailers to the Transfer Hub and PackShip drivers will perform the delivery to the final destination.
