CHICAGO Oct. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- John Bean Technologies Corporation (NYSE: JBT) today announced that Steve Smith has been named Vice President and Division Manager of JBT FoodTech's Food Processing Systems Division, effective October 1, 2011.
Mr. Smith brings over 15 years of operational experience within the food processing industry. He joined FMC Corporation in 1989 as a Business Planner with FMC's Petroleum Equipment Group in Houston, Texas. Since then, he has served in a variety of sales, marketing, and line management roles within FMC Corporation and FMC Technologies, Inc., JBT's previous parent companies, as well as with JBT, including most recently serving as the General Manager for the America's Operations of FoodTech's Food Solutions and Services Division since 2003. Mr. Smith holds a B.S. in Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He will be replacing Juan Podesta who has moved into the new role of Vice President, Corporate Planning and Development.
