Vetere began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. where he received his CPA and worked as a consultant managing systems and profit enhancement projects across a variety of industries. He then went on to serve as president of RMA/Kolko Corporation (later a division of Unisource Worldwide) and, more recently, president of LiDestri Foods, Inc.
