BEIJING, May 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- JD.com Inc. ("JD.com"), the largest direct B2C e-commerce company in China, today announced the official launch of its virtual telecom service.
The new service will offer mobile phone numbers starting with "170" to consumers in China beginning on May 28, 2014. The company announced that it will reward shoppers on its e-commerce platform who also use its virtual telecom service with additional voice time and mobile Internet usage based on the money they spend each month on JD.com.

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology awarded the company one of the first licenses in China to resell mobile telecom services in December 2013.
