Jet AirWerks Announces Business Expansion Under New Company and Brand Name, Jet AirParts, LLC
ARKANSAS CITY, Kan., Oct. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jet AirWerks, LLC (JAW), a FAA Part 145 and EASA repair station in Arkansas City, Kansas has announced its intent to expand operations under the new company and brand name Jet AirParts, LLC. Jet AirParts will focus on providing overhauled commercial jet engine parts for sale, primarily for the CFM56, CF6, CF34 and GE90 engine models.
Keith Humphrey, President and Chief Executive Officer of both Jet AirWerks, LLC and Jet AirParts, LLC, said his goal was to increase the efficiency and turnaround time for existing JAW customers, as well as create high quality Kansas jobs.
"Kansas is my home. I'm proud that we've found a win-win solution that allows JAW to improve our responsiveness to our existing customers and put Kansans back to work in good paying jobs," said Humphrey. "This expansion will allow us to keep our resources right here at home in Kansas instead of exporting those resources out of state."
Both Jet AirWerks, LLC and Jet AirParts, LLC are strategically located in Arkansas City, Kansas, just five miles from GE Aviation's Strother Field CFM56 engine overhaul facility and 10 miles from the GE Aviation and CFM Materials' facilities in Winfield, Kansas. Since September 2010, JAW has participated in a long-term agreement for engineering and support records with GE Aviation Materials (GEAM) covering engine component data collection for CFM56, CF6, CF34 and GE90 engine models for GE and CFMI repair development engineering groups.
